How we handle returns for faulty or defective products sold to customers in South Africa.

Summary

We accept returns only where goods are defective or not as described. We do not offer exchanges or “change of mind” returns. Please read the sections below before opening a case so we can resolve it as quickly as possible.

1. Scope

This policy applies to goods purchased from Zetty Electrical Wholesalers through this website or our usual sales channels, where delivery or collection is in South Africa. It is intended to be read with our Terms and Conditions of Sale, which govern the contractual relationship between you and Zetty.

2. When a return may be considered

We will consider a return or remedy only where the product is defective, damaged before you took delivery (and evidenced on receipt), or not as described in the material particulars of the order.

The following are not grounds for return under this policy: change of mind; ordering the incorrect size, type, or quantity; compatibility issues where specifications were available before purchase; or damage caused after delivery through misuse, alteration, or improper storage or installation.

3. How to report a problem

Contact us as soon as you become aware of the issue, and in any event within a reasonable time so that we can investigate while details and packaging are still available. Late reporting may affect our ability to assess the claim.

Please include

  • Your order or invoice reference and contact details.
  • A clear description of the fault and, where helpful, photographs of the product and packaging.
  • Confirmation of whether the goods are unmodified and substantially as supplied (where applicable).

4. Returning goods for assessment

We may ask you to retain the goods and packaging until we have agreed on the next step, or to return them for inspection. Unless we confirm otherwise in writing, do not return goods without our instruction — unauthorised returns may delay resolution.

Where a return is agreed, we will advise you of the address and any labelling or documentation required. You are responsible for reasonable care of the goods until they are back in our possession or with our nominated carrier.

5. Outcomes after assessment

If we confirm that the goods are defective or not as described in line with this policy, we may (at our discretion and subject to availability) offer a repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price for the affected goods, in line with applicable law and our Terms of Sale.

Where a remedy is not available or the claim is not upheld, we will explain the outcome in writing. Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation.

6. Exchanges

We do not operate a general exchange programme. If you need a different product, a new order should be placed in the normal way once any agreed refund or credit has been processed, unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
